The CARE Course addresses the following learning objectives

The CARE Course
- trauma emergencies, including, but not limited to
- airway management - from basic airway care to RSI and surgical airways
- chest tube insertion
- vascular access, haemorrhage control, fluid therapy and pressors/inotropes

- CPR
- defibrillation
- tachycardias and bradycardias (including trans-cutaneous pacing)
- cardiac failure and cardiogenic shock
- acute coronary syndromes
- obstetric emergencies, including, but not limited to
- shoulder dystocia
- pre-eclampsia and eclampsia
- post-partum haemorrhage
- paediatric emergencies, including, but not limited to
- neonatal resuscitation
